Accordingly, 10 programs will be carried out, using some VND140 billion, including a program on caring for 10,000 laborers’ families in disadvantaged circumstances who cannot return home for Tet, and a program caring for 5,000 outstanding laborers’ families who stay in the city to welcome Tet.

In addition, the City Confederation of Labour will present train tickets to 500 members’ families.

To recognize the contributions of landlords who have accompanied the trade unions in supporting and taking good care of workers in difficult circumstances, the confederation will visit 40 landlords in different districts on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Mr. Tran Doan Trung, Vice President of the City Confederation of Labour, said that so far, 2,600 laborers had lost their jobs due to businesses’ lack of order contracts and production reduction. “The City Confederation of Labour suggested trade unions at the grassroots levels and businesses announce Tet salaries and bonus by December 27, while mastering laborers’ demand during Tet to support them,” he said./.
