State President commemorates 53rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death

On August 14, at the Temple of President Ho Chi Minh, Ba Vi District, Hanoi, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presided over an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 53rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death and 53 years of implementing his will.

Accordingly, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, and other leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, branches, localities and representatives of the Nguyen Sinh and Hoang Xuan families in Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Nghe An, respectfully offerred flowers and incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh, according to the customs and traditions of the nation.

At 9:47 a.m. on September 2, 1969 (on July 21 of the lunar year), President Ho Chi Minh said goodbye to the entire Vietnamese nation, peacefully returning to his ancestors.

Before passing away, Uncle Ho left a sacred testament, which is an invaluable spiritual asset, advice and earnest affection, and a deep belief that will be passed on to future generations.

Celebrating the 53rd anniversary of Uncle Ho's passing away according to the customs and traditions of the nation and 53 years of implementing his will, it is also an opportunity for the entire Party, people and army to remember and be grateful for his merits to the Vietnamese people; and encourage people to continue to study and follow Uncle Ho’s example./.
