Indian Army Symphony Band to perform in Vietnam

Indian classical dancers and the Indian Army Symphony Band are going on tour in Vietnam from April 21st to 25th to celebrate the Vietnam – India Friendship Year 2017.

The performances will be held by Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Indian Embassy in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the performance will begin at 8pm at Hanoi Opera House on April 21st; at 8pm at Ho Chi Minh Opera House on April 22nd and at 8pm at Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre on April 25th in the central city of Da Nang.

The Indian Army Symphony Band 
The Indian Army Symphony Band was founded in 1990 with players from Army bands. Subsequently, to add variety to the music, Indian classical musical instruments like santoor, sitar and jaltarang were incorporated. The band performs during the visits of foreign dignitaries to India and during national ceremonial events./.
