Mr Vo Van Thuong visits Ho Chi Minh city Journalists Association

Politburo member, secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and head of the PCC Commission for Popularization and Education Vo Van Thuong has visited and congratulated Ho Chi Minh city Journalists Association on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21st).

Mr. Thuong sent best wishes to leaders, officers, members and journalists in Ho Chi Minh city, for health, successful completion of assigned tasks and to uphold the tradition of 93 years of the Vietnam revolutionary press.

He affirmed that over the past years, press agencies and workers have made great contribution to the cause of national construction and development, providing information about Party policies and State laws to local people. In particular, the press plays an important role, contributing its voice on all fronts of politics, ideology, culture, security, national defence, economics and foreign affairs.

President of Ho Chi Minh city Journalists Association Ma Dieu Cuong gave brief information about the association’s activities over the past years, as well as orientations in the near future. He also express his thanks to the Party, State and PCC Commission for Popularization and Education’s care for press workers. He said that the Vietnam Journalists Association in general, and Ho Chi Minh city Journalists Association in particular, will uphold its role as a professional association that unites and encourages journalists to promote their creativity and contribute more to the sustainable development of Vietnam revolutionary press.
