The soul of Vietnam via US photographer's lens

As many of 150 photos of Vietnam and its people taken by US photographer Lawrence D’Attilio are in a new book titled “The soul of Vietnam”.

The photo book was published in both Vietnamese and English by The Gioi Publisher.

Photos in the book
Larry D'Attilio and his wife came Vietnam in 2006. First he took photos of Hanoi and its people. Then he travelled around Vietnam, from Ha Long bay to mountainous areas around Dien Bien Phu city, and Ho Chi Minh city.

From 2007 to 2015, he lived in Vietnam from 3 to 6 months each year.

The photos reflect landscapes, characters and different moments, to express his feelings about, and viewpoints on, a changing country of boundless energy, including images representing women whose normal daily appearance hide an extremely intense vitality and distinction./.
