Romania’s capital city wants to set up friendly relationship with Ho Chi Minh city

Receiving the Romania – Vietnam friendly parliamentarian group from the Romanian Parliament led by parliamentarian Lucian Eduard on April 2nd, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Council Pham Duc Hai expressed his pleasure with the good development of the Vietnam – Romania relationship.

Concerning Ho Chi Minh city’s development, he said that the city imported from Romania some USD7 million worth of fertilizer, machines and pharmaceutical products, adding that he hoped more Romanian investors would come to Ho Chi Minh city in order to enhance cooperation in economic and educational sectors.

According to Mr. Hai, the two sides could cooperate in flood and climate change adaptation which are strengths of Romania. “I hope that Mr. Lucian Eduard will be a bridge for the signing of the establishment of friendly relationship between Ho Chi Minh city and Romania’s capital city Bucharest,” he went on to say.

Confirmed that Vietnam is Romania’s strategic partner, Mr. Lucian Eduard said that the upcoming high-ranking exchanges between the two countries would further promote the strategic partnership, especially among joint development projects in trade, water and land management, and ecological preservation.

He also expressed his hope that Bucharest capital city and Ho Chi Minh city would set up friendly relationship for enhancing cooperation in trade, culture and tourism./.
