Yen Tu Cherry Blossom and Yellow Apricot Flower Festival 2018 opened in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh province and Japan's Wanokai International Culture Association launched the Yen Tu Cherry Blossom and Yellow Apricot Flower Festival 2018, themed “Cooperation and development - destination of success” at Truc Lam Yen Tu Culture Centre belonging to Yen Tu Special National Relic, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh Province, on March 22nd - 26th.

Apart from 50 trees and 5,000 branches of cherry blossom brought from Japan, the festival also displays 150 Yen Tu yellow apricot trees, a special kind of flower unique to Quang Ninh province.
In addition, the festival has 30 kiosks, displaying and introducing OCOP (One Commune One Product) products of Quang Ninh and Japan.
At the festival, visitors have a chance to wear Kimono, a traditional costume of Japanese people, and enjoy national art programs.
This is an annual festival to promote the cooperative relations between Vietnam and Japan as well as introduce and promote images, potentials and strengths of Quang Ninh’s culture and tourism to international friends. The event is also an outstanding activity to welcome the national tourism year 2018 in the province./.
