(CPV) – Bac Ninh is the second province after Quang Ninh piloting the Smart City Operation Center, creating a utility system for all subjects and providing accurate information for managers towards the goals of building Bac Ninh into a centrally-governed city in 2022.

On September 26th, the northern province of Bac Ninh inaugurated the smart urban area operation center and officially put into use the Bac Ninh Smart City Operation Center.
In his speech at the event, Secretary of the Bac Ninh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Nhan Chien affirmed that the pilot operation of the center was one of the first steps in carrying out the policies of the Party and Government on administrative reform and smart city building.
The project of the smart city model has been implemented since 2017. Bac Ninh selects and develops the model with 6 core areas, including smart economy, smart residents, smart governance, smart transport, smart environment and smart life, through the goal of building and implementation of the schedule of key projects for the 2017-2022 period, with a vision to 2030.
So far, the province has implemented major components of the project, in which, the smart city data center is the first foundation project.
The building of the e-government is also carried out comprehensively. In addition, the province has piloted installing a surveillance camera system in Bac Ninh city as a foundation to realize the project for agencies.
Once operational, local people can directly use a mobile application to carry out public services, pay fees, get results and evaluate the quality of services./.
