Nearly 600,000 Vietnamese workers abroad remain stable in COVID-19

Vietnamese workers in foreign countries are strictly obeying the regulations of local countries and territories on medical supervision and check-ups, as well as other entry and exit regulations.

According to the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the number of Vietnamese workers in 36 COVID-19 infected countries remains stable at over 560,000.

Accordingly, more than 10,000 Vietnamese workers are in 13 European markets, including over 5,000 in Romania, over 1,000 in Germany and over 1,000 in Belarus.

There are also about 48,000 Vietnamese workers in the Republic of Korea, about 230,000 trainees and workers in Japan, and over 224,700 in Taiwan (China).

The Overseas Labourer Management Department under MOLISA has asked businesses to promptly update labourers’ information when they return home, in order to carry out COVID-19 preventive measures./.
