On March 19th alone, VFF President Tran Thanh Man received donation and registration of donation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha, as well as domestic and foreign groups and corporations with the amount of nearly VND40 billion.

VFF President Man confirmed that during the complex development of the disease and many countries’ confronting serious economic and medical crisis, the donation is crucial to the Party, Government and VFF in preventing and pushing back the disease.

Noting that Vietnam had to face diverse dangerous epidemics and defeated them in the past, he asserted that the achievements were made thanks to the efforts of the Party, the Government, the VFF, and especially the joint hands of the people.

According to him, in response to the VFF appeal, many localities across the country launched ceremonies to encourage agencies, unions and businesses to support the fight against Covid-19, with a hope to mobilize over VND1 trillion from 63 localities.

He pledged that the VFF would promptly transfer the donation to agencies and individuals directly preventing the disease, to isolated areas, and to the patients. “The donated money will also help the Party and State have more resources to strengthen preventive measures, treat the patients and ensure social welfare,” he said./.
