Team established to inspect Formosa project’s dumping activities

Chairman of the Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee has decided to establish a team to inspect the dumping of waste into the environment and the handling of the dumping by the Formosa project in the province.
The Ky Anh Urban Environment Company deals with Formosa waste.
The team, led by Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment Phan Lam Son, is responsible for inspecting the dumping of waste water, waste gas and solid waste of the Hung Nghiep Formosa Steel Company, to conduct urgent checks over unusual signals regarding environmental protection, and to follow up and supervise the installation of waste water and gas monitoring devices.
It will also work with relevant agencies to inspect environmental protection work at Formosa project, take samples for analysing the quality of the environment, and provide water and gas monitoring information and data as requested./.
