VND12 billion to care for workers in Ho Chi Minh city

Trade unions of Ho Chi Minh city export processing and industrial zones on May 9th signed a cooperation deal with the Unilever Company on realizing a social welfare program in order to improve the health and spiritual lives of workers in the city's export processing and industrial zones.

Accordingly, the program will put aside some VND12 billion to educate workers about health, provide them knowledge on disease prevention and food safety, and care for trade unions’ disadvantaged officers and workers. In addition, campaigns on selling goods with preferential prices will be held for workers.

In 2017, the program is expected to make contribution to improve the health and spiritual lives of at least 100,000 workers in 120 businesses./.
