World record contributes to promoting Vietnam’s image

Mr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, Vice President of World Records Union (WorldKings), has said “Connecting Journey” was appreciated by WorldKings as among the top values that an individual or a team attempts to make.

On September 30th, Mr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhuryeceive awarded the world record “National Cross Run Award organized by the company with the largest number of participating managers and employees on the longest running route" for the program "Connecting Journey”. Bui Ngoc Quang, FPT General Director, on behalf of the program, received the award.

“Connecting Journey” is a cross-country relay race with the participation of 3,000 FPT members lasting 31 days to celebrate 30 years since the establishment of FPT. Earlier, on September 4th, Vietnam Book of Records (VietKings), the only record organization in Vietnam, awarded Vietnam Record for FPT in two categories: “The longest running relay (2,600 kilometres)” and “The largest number of athletes in Vietnam (3,000 people)”.

“We encourage individuals and organizations to set new records that are meaningful and able to convey the humanitarian message to the community,” said Mr. Biswaroop Roy Chowdhuryeceive.

According to Dr. Duong Duy Lam Vien, Secretary-General of Vietnam Record Association cum CEO of VietKings, as the program was of great significance, the Vietnam Record Association introduced the program’s value to WorldKings for contributing to promoting Vietnam’s image and people.

“Connecting Journey” has gone through 29 provinces and cities, re-enacting the completion process of the North-South cable route extending from Lang Son to Ca Mau that FPT performed with incredible speed in a record time of 9 months 10 days to bring Internet to all the regions in the country./.
