V.League 1 to kick off on March 10th

(CPV) - The 2018 V.League (V.League 1) with 14 participating clubs will begin at Tam Ky stadium on March 10th by a match between defending champions Quang Nam FC and Saigon FC.



At the same time, Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC, who will present their youngest-ever squad, will face three-times winner Becamex Binh Duong in Pleiku - the capital of Gia Lai province, in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Other teams will play the next day.

By June 13th, the first leg will have 13 rounds. Clubs will have a month-long break.

According to the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company, the tournament will wrap up on September 29th.

Organisers have set the time of the matches at 17h00, 18h00 and 19h00 to lure more fans to the stadium as well as attract viewers on television.

Last year, Quang Nam played remarkably well to defeat title favorites such as FLC Thanh Hoa and Hanoi FC to take home the trophy for the first time.

While 10 participating clubs in the V.League 2 or Vietnamese National Football First League to begin their race on April 21st-September 22nd.

The national cup is scheduled to start on April 15th-October 7th./.
