Since May 20 when Nha Be District detected the first cases of COVID-19 infections, along with the quick response team, doctor Trinh Huu Nhan and all medical station staff carried out the task of case investigation, tracing and sampling. On July 11, doctor Nhan received a positive PCR test result for SARS-CoV-2, so he was transferred to Thu Duc COVID-19 Resuscitation Hospital for treatment, but he died on August 4 due to dangerous pneumonia, respiratory failure and heart failure.

In the case of nurse Tran Thi Phuong Hang, since July 27, Gia Dinh People's Hospital converted the function of the Intensive Care Unit against Poisons to the Department of COVID-19 Resuscitation, and she did not mind difficulties and taking on new tasks. On July 31, she got a positive PCR test result for SARS-CoV-2 and was transferred to the COVID-19 Resuscitation Hospital for treatment. On August 13, she was tested qualified for being discharged from hospital. After being taken by ambulance of Gia Dinh People's Hospital to her mother's house in Dong Nai Province to continue isolation as desired, she suddenly had difficulty breathing, so she was transferred to Xuan Loc Medical Center for emergency treatment but she did not survive./.
