A contemporary visual arts festival titled “Concept context contestation: Art and the collective in Southeast Asia” will be held at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in Thailand in March 2014.
Vietnamese artists including Bui Cong Khanh, Nguyen Van Cuong, Phan Thao Nguyen, Tung Mai and late artist Vu Dan Tan will have their works showcased at the festival.
More than 40 well-known artists from eights countries will take their interactive works to the festival.
Artworks by artists from Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodia will cover some of the most important themes of the contemporary art which are derived from conceptual thoughts and used for collective ideas and for Southeast Asia contemporary art for decades.
The program is appreciated as the Southeast Asian region’s largest and has been held in Thailand under the curators of lola Lenzi, Agung Hujatnikajennong and Vipash Purichanont./.
