TKV volleyball champs 2014 opens

The TKV volleyball champs 2014 opened on June 10 at Nui Beo Joint Stock Company Culture and Sports Centre, Ha Long city.

Organized by Vietnam’s National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV), the event lures the participation of five strong men’s teams, nine men’s movement teams and 16 women’s movement teams from 16 units in the group.

The tour celebrates the 20^th establishment anniversary of TKV (October 10, 1994 - October 10, 2014), thus promoting physical training for staff and in response to the benefits of all people taking physical exercise following the example of Great Uncle Ho’s campaign.

Athletes will compete in a robin-format (for strong teams) and grouping (for movement teams and 16 women’s movement teams), at Nui Beo Joint Stock Company Culture and Sports Centre and Ha Tu Sports Complex.

This year’s event saw remarkable development of playing volleyball in staff in the last several years with the highest ever number of participating teams.

The closing and awarding ceremonies will be held in the afternoon of June 14./.
