30th Quang Ninh chess tour makes first move

The 30^th Quang Ninh Radio and Television traditional chess tour, co-organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Quang Ninh Radio and Television; Quang Ninh Chess Federation and Cam Pha People’s Committee, opened in Cam Pha city on July 15.

Some 150 players from 15 teams (localities, businesses) have registered to compete.

Organizers hope to accelerate development of traditional chess in the province, spot talents for the provincial and national squads for domestic and international tours.

They tour has two events: standard chess (9 rounds in the standard Swiss system) from July 15-19 and Swiss rapid chess (7 rounds) from July 19-20.

The closing and awarding ceremony will be held on July 20./.
