Exhibition on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos opens in Gia Lai province

Exhibits affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos are on display at an exhibition which opened in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai.
The documents, publications, artifacts, and 100 maps were provided by Vietnamese and foreign scholars. Some of these items were published in Western countries in the 18th and 19th century, testifying to Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

Socio-economic activities in Truong Sa island district during the country’s industrialization process are also featured at the exhibition.
The exhibition aims to raise the public’s awareness, and encourage Vietnamese nationals to affirm and protect national territory.
It will run until March 21st./.
