96 photos on “Vietnam today” displayed in Hanoi

As many of 96 outstanding photos of Vietnam’s landscapes and people are on display at an exhibition titled “Vietnam today” which opened at the Centre for Fine Arts and Photography in Hanoi on July 5th.

The photos were selected from 5,464 entries to the 7th National Tourism Art Photo contest, highlighting the diversity of daily-life activities around the country of Vietnam as well as praising the country's tourism resources and natural landscapes.

Llaunched by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Tourism Magazine from December 17th, 2015 to May 31st, 2016, as many as 6,466 photos (including 5,128 colour photos, 246 black and white photos) by 454 authors from 55 provinces nationwide were sent to the contest.

After seven qualifying rounds, the 11 best works were selected, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and five consolation prizes. The awards ceremony also took place on July 5th.

The exhibition will run at No.29 Hang Bai street until July 9th./.
