Art performance pays gratitude to Vietnamese heroic mothers

An art performance titled “In mother’s arms” took place at 20h00 on July 25th in Hanoi to mark the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.

The performance aimed to show gratitude to national contributors through stage arts and music scenes.

It created stories to honour Vietnamese heroic mothers, as well as the history of national struggle for freedom by the Vietnamese people.

During the event, famous singers such as Tung Duong, Phuong Anh,  Phuong Nga, Vu Thang Loi, Oplus Group, Phuong Bac Group and Truong Sa group performed songs about mothers by composer Trinh Cong Son, An Thuyen, Xuan Hong and Le Thuong.

The organizing board also presented gifts, including a savings account of VND10 million, presents and warm clothes, to ten Vietnamese heroic mothers whose sons sacrificed their lives for Vietnam's Gac Ma island of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
