Traditional Tet in Hanoi Old Quarter

Diverse cultural activities will take place in Hanoi Old Quarter from January 19th to introduce to visitors the outstanding values of traditional Tet in Vietnam.

At Kim Ngan Communal House, visitors will study folk painting styles of northern Vietnam, including Hang Trong, Kim Hoang and Dong Ho.

At the Heritage House at 87 Ma May street, the atmosphere to welcome Tet of Hanoi people in the past will be recreated together with photos on ancient Tet. The organizing board will also install a space to welcome ancient Tet in traditional houses of the Northern region at the Hanoi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Center at No.50 Dao Duy Tu street. Visitors will understand the ways to welcome Tet of Hanoians and people in the Northern region.

At the Hanoi Heritage Information Center at No.28 Hang Buom, calligraphy and folk paintings of Tet will be displayed until February 12th. Traditional music performances will take place from January 29th to February 1st (the 2nd day to the 5th day of the first lunar month)./.
