SEA Games 2017: Vietnam wins two silver medals in Wushu

Vietnamese Wushu artists on August 21st bagged two more silver medals at the ongoing 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia.

Nguyen Thuy Linh earned a silver medal in the women’s Nandao and Nan Gun category with 9.62 points.

Juwita Niza Wasni of Indonesia pocketed the gold medal with 9.66 points, while Tai Cheau Xuen of host Malaysia took the bronze medal with 9.59 points.

At the men’s Nanda and Nan Gun category, Pham Quoc Khanh of Vietnam brought home a silver medal with 9.66 points, only 0.01 points lower than the gold medallist Thein Than Oo from Myanmar. Ho Mun Hua of Malaysia won the bronze medal with 9.65 points.

Earlier, Duong Thuy Vi won a gold medal in the women’s Quiangshu category with 9.67 points. This is her second gold medal at the regional sport event.

To date, Vietnam has recorded seven gold, three silver and five bronze medals./.
