Vietnam’s national futsal team has set their sights on a semi-final berth at the upcoming Asian Cup Indoor Games.
Coach Miguel Rodrigo has selected 19 players to prepare for the event, most of whom competed in last month’s Southeast Asian Games and the Futsal World Cup 2016.
The team, who won a bronze medal in the Games, met on September 3rd.
The Asian event, which will take place on September 16th - 26th in Turkmenistan, features 18 teams divided into four groups.
Vietnam has been drawn in Group A with Taipei, Hong Kong (China), the Solomon islands and hosts Turkmenistan.
The nation will face Chinese Taipei in the opener on September 16th, Hong Kong on September 19th, Solomon on September 20th and Turkmenistan a day later./.
