Continue preserving and promoting relics' value in Hue ancient city

According to a report of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, the Party and State have taken care for the preservation and promotion of relics' value in Hue ancient city. In the 1996-2017 period, the preservation has brought positive effectiveness on socio-economics, contributing to attracting visitors to the locality.

Over the past 20 years, more than 170 works have been preserved with a total investment of over VND1,460 billion.

In addition, eight objects and groups of objects in Hue ancient city were recognized as national treasures.

Deputy Minister Bich Lien said that the supervision of the National Council on Cultural Heritage not only helps the ministry to well conduct state management on the preservation and promotion of national relics' value, but is also an opportunity to help Thua Thien - Hue province to access the real state and the process of the relic preservation in Hue city. Mrs. Lien also asked the province to access the preservation and present proposals for the preservation and promotion of relics' value.

Chairman of the National Council on Cultural Heritage, Prof. Dr of Sc. Luu Tran Tieu, appreciated the province for its preservation of relics and promulgation of polices to attract resources for the preservation. The model of organization and activities of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre is effective, as it successfully carried out many preservation projects.

Mr. Tieu also asked the province to consider socialization resources for the preservation, in order to gradually complete the project to preserve and promote of relics' value in Hue ancient city in the 2010-2020 period./.
