It was part of activities to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution.
The event drew the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Duy Quat, former Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee Commission of Ideology and Culture, and advisor of the online dialogue; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Vice Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Dr. Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper; Major-General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Duong, Head of the Institute of Military Social Sciences and Humanities; and Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Cuong, Deputy Head of the Institute of Military Social Sciences and Humanities; Colonel, Dr. Dang Van Sanh, head of Department of Culture under the Institute of Military Social Sciences and Humanities; Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Huong; Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Do; Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Mat; Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dang Bo; leaders of departments under the Party Central Committee Commission of Popularization and Education; and the Editorial Board of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper.
It was an opportunity to affirm the stature, historical significance and value of the revolution to the world revolutionary movement and the Vietnamese revolution; the contribution and significance of the Revolution and realistic socialism in human history; and the success and failure of the real socialism, the model of the Soviet Union over 70 years of existence and development. This will help to draw rules for sustainable and new development ways and apply experiences and lessons to the practice of building socialism in Vietnam at present.
