The event aims to help people in Dien Chau district in particular and Nghe An province in general understand clearly Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagoes, thus raising their awareness of protecting national sovereignty.

It will showcases documents, publications, items, and 100 maps collected by domestic and foreign researchers including transcribed versions of the original Chinese-Vietnamese and French documents published by Vietnamese feudal regimes, the French government in Indochina, and several western publications from the 17th to the 20th century.

In addition, documents of the Nguyen Dynasty regarding Vietnam’s exploitation, management, establishment, and exercise of its sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa will also be displayed.

The exhibition will also feature maps certifying that the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes belong to Vietnam, published by Western nations since the 17th century./.
