The central Hue City Department of Tourism has held an event celebrating the lotus flower as part of a plan affirming Hue - the festival city of Vietnam.
Art performance at the opening night
The main stage of the opening night was a miniature lotus pond model for the lotus show, where the collection of Ao Dai printed or embroidered with lotus patterns and special artistic shows were held.
Traditional paper lotus flowers made by local artisans, paintings depicting lotus, lotus conical hats and special dishes with lotus seeds, plants and roots were also performed.
The event also offered lotus tea, which is tea steeped in the natural fragrance of lotus flowers before brewing.
