Activities in February at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

Diverse activities related to Tet celebrations of ethnic groups will take place in February at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

According to the Village’s Management Board, about 200 people of 25 ethnic groups from 17 provinces and cities will participate in a programme on February 12th and 13th.

The highlight will be arts performances on the Party and spring on February 12th and the reinstatement of Aza koonh festival of Ta Oi ethnic group in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on February 13th.

In addition, on February 12th, Ta Oi ethnic people will take part in tree planting festival. On February 13th, there will be rituals for welcoming Tet of Dao ethnic people in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang.

Also on the two days, there will be a spring programme of Mong, Dao, Kho Mu, Thai, Muong, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Co Tu, Raglai, E De and Khmer ethnic groups.  Activities introducing special foods on Tet will be held.

One of the exciting weekend activities is the "Spring Festival" programme, including art performances on February 16th and 17th, and on February 23rd and 24th. /.
