Calls for donation of Dien Bien Phu campaign-linked items

A ceremony to call for donation of documents and objects related to Dien Bien Phu campaign has been held in Hanoi to promote values and contribute to enriching, diversifying documents and exhibits to prove the heroic historical period of the nation.

It is one of activity to celebrate 110th founding anniversary of Dien Bien province (June 28th), 70th founding anniversary of Dien Bien provincial Party Committee (October 10th) and 65th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7th).
At the launching ceremony, the organising board received 36 documents and 22 items donated by two collectives and five individuals. They include 36 issues of People’s Army Newspaper published during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Vice Chairman of Dien Bien provincial People’s Committee Le Van Quy said that while 65 years have passed, the values of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory remain intact as a great source of support for national construction and defence./.
