Exhibition on Hoang Sa and Truong opens in Thai Nguyen province

An exhibition was opened in Dai Tu district, the northern province of Thai Nguyen on July 23rd, giving visitors an insight into the historical and legal evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.

On display are nearly 200 maps, documents, and paintings which were issued by the Vietnamese feudal regime from the 17th to 20th centuries and research of Vietnamese and international scholars, along with maps, images, and atlases published by other countries testifying to Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.
The exhibition, running until August 8th, also introduces visitors dozens of large-size photos on the lives of cadres, soldiers and people on the islands and sentiments between people in the mainland and ones on the islands.
Earlier, the Exhibition Organizing Board and delegates offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the historic sites that announced the Vietnamese Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27th)./.
