From August 30th to September 30th, the Management Board of Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will organize September activities to celebrate National Independence Day (September 2nd).

Activities aim at honoring and introducing culture and customs of 54 Vietnamese ethnic communities at the village, contributing to preserving and promoting special cultural values ​​and strengthening exchanges between ethnic groups and attracting tourists during the national holidays.

The event will draw the participation of about 300 people from 15 ethnic groups, including: Mong, Lo Lo, Giay ethnic groups (Ha Giang), Kho Mu (Nghe An), Thai (Son La) , Tay (Thai Nguyen), Muong (Hoa Binh), Dao (Hanoi), Ta Oi and Co Tu (Thua Thien Hue), Ba Na (Gia Lai), and Xo Dang (Kon Tum), Raglai (Ninh Thuan), Ede (Dak Lak), Khmer (Soc Trang), together with artists and actors of Vietnam Circus Federation, Vietnamese Tuong Theater, student of Northwestern College of Arts and Culture.

Highlights of the event are the reinstatement of market and the Lo Lo ethnic festival in Meo Vac district, the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang. Drum dance of Giay and Lo Lo ethnic groups, Mong ethnic festival and performances of folk musical instruments will be held.

A part from daily and weekend activities of 13 ethnic groups, there will be experience tourism programs, cake making, folk games, blessing activities for peace and happiness at the spiritual spaces of Khmer pagoda and Cham tower./.
