Exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Life and career"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has coordinated with the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam to organize an exhibition, themed "Ho Chi Minh: Life and career".

The event was in the framework of the conference to review activities abroad honouring President Ho Chi Minh, a hero of national liberation and a great man of culture, over the past decade.

This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19th) and 51 years of implementing his Testament.

100 national documents preserved in archives and cultural agencies of Vietnam, the Republic of France and the United States about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.

The exhibition was designed to help the public better understand the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, his thoughts and dedication to the cause of national liberation and peace, friendship and development for the progress of Vietnam and the world.

The exhibition was divided into three parts, including the homeland, family and childhood in the first part; the patriotic young man and revolutionary soldier in the second part, and his ideology, morality and style in the third part.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh stressed the significance of the UNESCO Resolution adopted in 1987 marking the centennial birthday of President Ho Chi Minh as a hero of national liberation and a great man of culture.

The document said the President is an outstanding symbol of national affirmation, who devoted his whole life to the national liberation of the Vietnamese people, contributing to the common struggle of peoples for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress./.
