The investigation will aim to capture the number of gongs and evaluate the current status of gongs use in the community. Based on the investigation results, the province will propose solutions to preserving and promoting gongs values and cultural space in localities.

In order to do this task well, over 200 cultural officials of 17 district-level localities have been professionally trained. They will conduct survey questions on classification of gongs, its origins, its status, its owners and its use in festivals and cultural activities.

Based on the inventory data, in 2021, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will submit to the provincial People's Committee a proposal to preserve the gongs cultural space, including the conservation of gongs.
