New stamp collection launched to mark Lenin’s 150th birthday

The Ministry of Information and Communications and Vietnam Post Corporation on April 22nd issued a new collection of stamps to celebrate the 150th birthday of socialist scholar and politician Vladimir Lenin.

The collection of stamps features one graphic design that shows a portrait of Lenin, who lived from 1870 to 1924. He is widely regarded as one of the great leaders of recent centuries, an outstanding political thinker, a scholar for the working class and laborers globally, as well as a key factor in Russia’s Great October Revolution.

With the size of 37 x 37 mm, the stamp features an image created by local painter Pham Trung Ha.

The collection will be used in post offices nationwide from April 22nd, 2020, to December 31st, 2021.

So far, the Vietnam Post Corporation has issued a total of 14 stamp collections to mark Lenin’s birthday and the Russian October Revolution./.
