1,500 artists to participate in second phase of National Music and Dance Festival 2024

The event features performances celebrating Vietnam's cultural diversity. It aims to promote artistic exchange and creativity across the country, with awards for outstanding performances and contributions.

The information was released by the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The National Music and Dance Festival 2024 will be held by the Department of Performing Arts in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians' Association, the Vietnam Dance Artists' Association, and the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and cities.

Due to the impact of typhoon Yagi, the first phase planned to be held in Vinh Phuc province has not been implemented to implement the Government's measures to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

The second phase will draw the participation of nearly 1,500 artists from 24 units nationwide, including professional music and dance art units in and outside the public sector; music and dance art units of the armed forces; symphony, music, and dance art units in and outside the public sector nationwide.

The festival will be an opportunity for artists to gain experience and for audiences across the country to enjoy unique and quintessential art performances, thereby contributing to the strong development of the country's music and dance genre and creating a cultural and artistic bridge between regions./.
