28 photos on Peru’s great Inca road on display in Hanoi

(CPV) - 28 photos on Peru’s Qhapaq Ñan – The Great Inca Road, are on display at an exhibition which opened at the pedestrian streets near by Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi on October 21.

The event is being held by the Embassy of Peru in Vietnam in coordination with Hanoi City to mark the 28th anniversary of the establishment of Peru-Vietnam diplomatic relations (November 14, 1994 - November 14, 2022).

Roads have been preserved and put into use 

These 28 photographs represent the outstanding features of the ancient Inca road construction techniques – roads which have been preserved and put into use.

The exhibition aims to bring the majestic natural landscape, unique cultural features of Peru and the country's history closer to the Vietnamese public. This contributes to preserving the values and meanings of the times, as well as promoting cultural exchanges, and further deepening the good traditional friendship between the two peoples.

Qhapaq Ñan, the most extensive and advanced road system, was built during the Inca empire and runs through the territory of South American countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

The event will run until October 26./.
