On November 6, the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Resolution 33-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development".

Over the past 10 years, implementing Resolution 33-NQ/TW of the Central Committee, the capital city of Hanoi has thoroughly grasped, creatively applied and promoted the achievements and achieved results, in line with the specific situation of Hanoi, gradually meeting the requirements and trends of the times.

In particular, Hanoi is the leading unit in the country in conducting a general inventory and protecting intangible cultural heritage. Currently, Hanoi has nearly 6,000 relics, including one world heritage, 20 special national relics, nearly 1,170 national-level relics, 1,500 city-level relics and 3,238 relics.

Along with that, the planning and state management of culture implemented by the Hanoi Party Committee has become increasingly systematic, gradually improving management capacity and efficiency. The fight against wrong views in the field of ideology and culture in the new situation has been strictly implemented, preventing and promptly handling complicated incidents occurring in the area.

At the same time, Hanoi regularly pays attention to and promotes the responsibility and love for Hanoi of artists, intellectuals, and the social community in building and developing the culture and elegant, civilized people of Hanoi.

Based on the achieved results, Hanoi continues to strive to achieve the targets until 2025 and the following years: Organizing 3,000 professional art performances annually; welcoming and serving 35-39 million tourists, including 8-9 million international visitors; the rate of public schools at all levels meeting national standards is 80-85%; The rate of workers with degrees and certificates is 55 - 60%.; 88% of families are recognized and maintain the title of Cultural Families; 65% of villages and hamlets are recognized and maintain the title of Cultural Village; 100% of villages and hamlets have cultural houses; and the number of ranked relics is increased.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong affirmed that in the flow of Vietnamese culture under the leadership of the Party, especially after nearly 40 years of renovation, our Party and State always agree on the view that "Culture is the spiritual foundation of society, both the goal and the driving force for socio-economic development".

Comrade Nguyen Van Phong emphasized that culture plays an important role in the development of the Capital. The City Party Committee has always thoroughly grasped and flexibly and creatively applied the Party's viewpoints and policies on cultural development and human development in accordance with the conditions of the Capital. The leaders of Hanoi City in all terms have always paid attention to cultural development and building Hanoians, considering culture the driving force for the development of the Capital. The Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee emphasized that, clearly defining the purpose and focus of the development of the Capital, the City Party Committee has issued many correct policies and decisions, such as: Issuing two sets of criteria for the Code of Conduct for civil servants and public employees in Hanoi agencies and the Code of Conduct in public places; Resolution 09-NQ/TU Hanoi 2022 on developing cultural industries in the capital for the period 2021-2025, oriented to 2030, vision to 2045.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong and Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong awarded Certificates of Merit from the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to 10 collectives and 10 individuals.

“With the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, Resolution 33-NQ/TW has truly permeated and spread into the life of the capital today. The construction and development of the culture and people of the capital have made a new and proud step forward. The cultural and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved. Such results are due to the participation and efforts of authorities at all levels, professional social organizations, scientists,” said comrade Nguyen Van Phong.

Localities and units promote research and testing of new policies related to the cultural sector, especially public investment and private management; promote international exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture and education; focus on digital transformation in the cultural sector; train and improve the quality of professional cultural managers and workers.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing Resolution 33 - NQ/TW of the 11th Central Executive Committee in Hanoi./.
