In the context of globalization and strong economic development, culture plays an increasingly important role in building national identity and enhancing the country's position in the international arena.

Investment and funding for culture not only help preserve cultural heritage, develop cultural and creative industries, but also create resources to achieve sustainable development goals and improve the quality of life of the people. Many countries in the world have successfully applied investment and funding models in the cultural sector, creating sustainable values for the community.

In Vietnam, the implementation of investment and funding projects for culture faces many difficulties due to the lack of a clear legal framework and support from the government. The coordination between state agencies and enterprises in the cultural sector still lacks synchronization, leading to ineffective exploitation of resources.

In addition, the lack of publications and scientific conferences in this field also makes it difficult for researchers, managers and potential investors to find in-depth information. This not only limits access to knowledge, but also reduces opportunities for connection and cooperation between stakeholders. As a result, many potential initiatives and projects are not developed or implemented effectively.

Faced with the above limitations and barriers, the Scientific Workshop "Investment and Funding for Culture: International Experience and Suggested Lessons for Vietnam" aims to be a bridge to help scientists, managers, domestic and international enterprises share experiences and innovative thinking in mobilizing resources for the cultural sector; and discuss policies to promote cooperation between stakeholders for sustainable development of Vietnamese culture.

About 20 presentations were discussed at the workshop. Three notable groups of issues were focused on analyzing the current situation and solutions, including: Investment and Funding for Culture in Vietnam - Multidimensional Perspective; Investment and Funding for Culture - International Experience and Issues; and Investment and Funding for Culture - Objectives, Policy Tools and Initiatives to Position the Brand "Hanoi Creative City".

The event dew the participation of experts and scientists such as Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong (Director of the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts); Dr. architect Pham Tuan Long (Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District); musician, music producer Nguyen Quoc Trung (General Director of Thanh Viet Production Company); Dr. Ha Huy Ngoc (Head of Regional and Local Economics Department, Vietnam Institute of Economics, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences); Mr. Jérémy SEGAY (Audiovisual Attaché of the French Embassy in Vietnam); and Mr. Emmanuel Cerise (Representative of the Ile-de-France Region in Hanoi, Director of the Paris Region International Cooperation Support Agency in Vietnam). /.
