Monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guard soldiers" inaugurated

The monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guard soldiers" has been inaugurated at the Postgraduate Training System, Border Guard Academy in Son Tay town, the outskirt of Hanoi.

On February 17, the Postgraduate Training System under the Border Guard Academy held a ceremony to inaugurate the Monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guard soldiers."

Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Border Guard, attended the ceremony.

The project was completed at the campus of the Postgraduate Training System, Border Guard Academy, including: The statue crafted entirely of natural stone, adapting the prototype of the work by Vu Ngoc Khoi which has the image of Uncle Ho, considerate and giving instructions to Border Guard soldiers. The pillar is cast from reinforced concrete, covered with stone and engraved with a poem Uncle Ho gave to officers and soldiers at the first Emulation Congress of the People's Armed Police (now the Border Guard) organized in Hanoi on March 2, 1962.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan highly appreciated the policy, leadership and direction of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Border Guard Academy for the construction of the monument; praising the Party Committee, Command and officers, students, staff, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the Postgraduate Training System for voluntarily contributing to the construction of this especially meaningful project./.
