The event entitled “Songs of Dien Bien” is expected to inspire and promote patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and the will to fight and win during the cause of national construction and defence.
The event also aims to pay tribute to and honour the soldiers and people who sacrificed their lives and made great contributions to the glorious victory of the revolution as well as the efforts to make the nation more beautiful and prosperous.
The artworks should demonstrate the great historical value and profound significance of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory; and the heroic spirit, creative ingenuity, intellectual bravery, and the will of Vietnamese army and people.
The works should also highlight the shining examples of soldiers, youth volunteers, frontline workers, and people from all walks of life who served in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; as well as honour the socio-economic, defence-security, and cultural achievements gained by the people in Northwestern region, especially in Dien Bien Province, over the past 70 years.
Each professional and amateur musician is allowed to send no more than two songs to the Vietnam Musicians’ Association’s headquarter at 43 Nguyen Hong Street, Thanh Cong Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi; or to email address: congtachoivien@gmail.com.
Works must be sent by April 24, 2024. The organising committee will post the songs that are selected for the final rounds on the TikTok platform from April 25 to May 15./.
