Nearly 2,500 police officers join 2024 Olympic Running Day

The event is among activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946-2024) and towards the 76th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948- 2024).

Nearly 2,500 police officers and soldiers from 57 units under the ministry attended the event.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized that the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people and the organization of sports festivals in the People’s Public Security force in recent years have always drawn the response of a large number of police officials and soldiers.

This is a practical activity in response to the Campaign “All people exercise according to the example of the great Uncle Ho” and the movement “Be healthy to build and protect the Fatherland”. 

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To respectfully thanked relevant agencies for coordinating, facilitating and supporting the People's Public Security's physical training and sports work in recent times, and at the same time look forward to continuing to receive more support in the future.

After the opening ceremony, leaders, delegates, officers and soldiers ran a distance of 1.2km, around Thien Quang lake, on Quang Trung-Nguyen Du-Tran Binh Trong-Tran Nhan streets./.
