Unique architecture of Ponagar Tower (Khanh Hoa) |
These two programs were held at the national historical and cultural relic Ponagar Tower, as a way to honor the magical beauty of the relic and the Cham cultural features in life that have been preserved to this day. This is one of the important highlights in the development of the night-time economy of Khanh Hoa province.
The two programs were performed in the form of semi-realistic stage performances, taking advantage of the mysterious beauty of Ponagar Tower at night. The stage is located behind the South Tower, where the natural scenery and ancient architecture blend to create a vibrant artistic space.
With a duration of 45 - 60 minutes, the two programs not only recreate traditional Cham cultural values, but also take visitors on a journey to discover the magical beauty of the ancient tower under the moonlight.
Both programs are designed according to the story, helping visitors easily feel the legends and history of Khanh Hoa, the values of the Ponagar Tower relic, as well as the cultural beauty and people here. The team of tour guides vividly introduces the history of Khanh Hoa, the Cham culture and the unique architecture of Ponagar Tower. The music and dance performances by the Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe and the art troupe of the Provincial Monument Conservation Center bring a traditional atmosphere.
Visitors also have an opportunity to participate in Cham cultural experiences such as folk dances, brocade weaving and admire Cham potter; participate in traditional rituals and explore the ancient tower space through interesting interactive activities.
Ms. Nguyen Hai Yen, a tourist from Hanoi, said that the first time she came to Ponagar Tower, she was truly overwhelmed by the ancient and mysterious beauty of this place. Not only are the towers silently bearing the mark of time, Ponagar Tower also contains a strong vitality of Cham culture. Enjoying the art program in the form of a semi-real scene was truly a memorable experience for her.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan, Director of Khanh Hoa Province’s Department of Culture and Sports, said that these two programs are the result of close coordination between the Provincial Monuments Conservation Center, the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the Traditional Arts Theater and the Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe. Not only do they aim to preserve cultural heritage, but the two programs also contribute to creating more attractive tourism products as well as developing the local night-time economy./.
