On the afternoon of December 9, at the Special National Monument of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, young artist Vu Thuy Linh introduced the art project "To dong thanh thot" with the aim of bringing the nation's intangible cultural heritage closer to the public.

The project includes four famous folk songs, and a pop song.

In this art project, Vu Thuy Linh performs ancient melodies to symphonic background music directed by musician Luu Quang Minh. To be able to perform original folk songs, Thuy Linh spent time studying Xam and Cheo from People's Artist Thanh Ngoan; and learning Bac Ninh Quan Ho singing from People's Artist Thuy Huong.

The youthfulness in her voice along with the classical and modern arrangements of musician Luu Quang Minh give familiar folk songs a new context. Vu Thuy Linh still retains the original characteristic of each type of folk song, but with a new context when mixed with symphonic music.

Vu Thuy Linh was born in 1999 and graduated from the Faculty of Music Pedagogy at the Military University of Culture and Arts. Currently, Vu Thuy Linh is studying for a master's degree in music theory and teaching methods at the Central University of Art Education.

In addition, she is also studying for a second degree in Business Administration from the National Economics University.

Previously, Vu Thuy Linh and her crew filmed a work at the Temple of Literature to promote the value of the relics and spread folk music to tourists./.
