This cultural event, which attracted a large audience, was organized by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Seher Presents and marked the 10th anniversary of India’s “Act East Policy”.
The music festival, which runs from the evening of November 29 to December 1, features 10 bands representing the 10 ASEAN member countries and 5 bands from India. Opening the first night, Buc Tuong lit up the outdoor stage at Purana Quila, one of Delhi’s oldest forts.
With renowned songs like Ra khoi, Can bang, Mua he di qua, Tam hon cua da, Bong hong thuy tinh and Nhung chuyen di dai, Buc Tuong performed with passion, captivating the hearts of music lovers in Delhi, who danced along joyfully. Although this was the band’s first tour in India, the energy of Vietnamese rock truly spread through the arms and legs of thousands of South Asian audience members. The musical atmosphere at Purana Quila was ignited by the powerful and charismatic voice of rocker Pham Anh Khoa and fueled by the intense performances from Buc Tuong, led by their lead guitarist Tran Tuan Hung.
Through meticulous preparation and fiery performances, Buc Tuong truly left a long-lasting impression on the audience in New Delhi and the ASEAN-India audience as a whole.
In his opening remarks at the festival, Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita emphasized: “music is a universal language that inspires, heals, and connects us”, and noted: “this festival highlights the cultural connections we have built over the years. It celebrates how music transcends borders, strengthens our ties, and enhances the solidarity between ASEAN and India in our journey of mutual development.”
The ASEAN-India Music Festival 2024 offered the audience a rare opportunity to experience the rich and diverse sounds of both regions in one location. /.
