According to the schedule, the training camp will be held from January 19 to 24, 2025, at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Throughout the week, the athletes will participate in intensive technical, physical, and tactical training sessions to be offered by renowned ACC coaches.
The event offers a golden opportunity for Vietnamese athletes to improve their skills, gain more experience, enjoy exchanges with international athletes, and get acquainted with the field in order to have the best possible preparation for the tournament.
The 2025 AAC is an annual amateur golf tournament which is scheduled to take place from October 23 to 26, 2025. First played in 2009, it is sponsored by the Augusta National in Georgia, the United States, who owns the Masters tournament, as well as the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, the sole organiser of the Open Championship.
Therefore, the ACC champion will earn a place to compete in the Masters and The Open next year. In addition, the runner-up of the tournament will also earn a ticket to enter the qualifying round of The Open.
Born in 2007 in Hanoi, Minh was first introduced to golf when he was just six. At the age of 14, he made waves by becoming the youngest champion at several major tournaments, such as the Bamboo Airways Golf Tournament - Flight to the Top, the Tien Phong Golf Championship, and the National Golf Championship in 2021.
In March 2022, Minh dominated the international Lexus Challenge and was the first Vietnamese amateur golfer and the youngest competitor to win a local pro event.
Throughout this year, Minh has managed to secure six titles. In addition to the Malaysian Amateur Open and Nomura Cup, he won the Vietnam – Korea LSG Invitational, Taiwan Amateur Championship, Yen Bai Star Invitational, and the Vietnam Amateur Open.
He is currently ranked at No. 61 in the World Golf Amateur Golf Ranking.
Meanwhile, Le Khanh Hung, 16, was the first Vietnamese golfer to win a gold medal from the regional SEA Games last May in Cambodia. He won the Lexus Challenge 2023, which is one of key events of the Vietnam Golf Association Tour.
Elsewhere, golfer Doan Uy won the Vietnam Junior Open 2024 (VJO) and currently places at No. 787 in the world amateur ranking./.
