Speaking at the workshop, Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union Monxay Laomuasong reiterated the sentiments and thoughts of President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Ho Chi Minh City for young people, saying that the workshop helped the youth of the two countries understand deeply and widely the thoughts of the leaders of the two countries towards young people, as well as realize the value of the special relationship, contributing to cultivating the friendship between the two countries.
At the workshop, the delegates focused on analyzing and evaluating the theoretical and practical values of President Ho Chi Minh’s and President Kaysone Phomvihane's thought, especially in fostering the young generation and building Vietnam - Laos friendly relationship.
The delegates also emphasized the importance of organizing for the youth of the two countries to learn and follow the ideas of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane.
In particular, it is necessary to promote the impulsive role of young people in participating in socio-economic development and national protection, as well as the responsibility of the young generation in preserving, cultivating and developing the Vietnam - Laos special friendship cooperation.
“Opinions affirmed that the ideology of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane is a valuable asset of the two Parties and peoples, and an ideological foundation and a guideline for actions of the Party and revolution of the two countries", said Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
According to Mr. Huy, following President Ho Chi Minh’s and President Kaysone Phomvihane’s thought was the key for the young generation to succeed in fulfilling its responsibility to build and protect the Fatherland, contributing to the successful implementation of the revolutionary tasks that the Party, State and people of the two countries had determined.
He added that the workshop agreed to evaluate the thought of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane as the source of solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties and peoples on the path to realize the goals of independence, freedom and happiness for the nation and people, especially the youth of the two countries. “That source of thought needs to be preserved and developed by today's young generation,” he went on to say./.
