The event drew plenty of attention from local and international art lovers. It consists of human stories painted by four notable Vietnamese artists, each boasting their own distinctive and unique point of view whilst being rich with character.
According to VOV, the four artists hail from different art generations, ranging from the post-French-colonial era (Hau Dong Duong) to post-1986 Vietnam’s Renovation (Doi Moi), through to Contemporary.
Each has its own distinct signature style and technique, with Phung Pham (1932)’s mastery of cubism on traditional Vietnamese lacquer, Le Thiet Cuong (1962)’s minimalism with gouache on cheesecloth, Ly Tran Quynh Giang (1978)’s intense expressions through oil on canvas, and Ngo Van Sac (1980)’s unique wood-burn and mixed media portraits.
The four artists, four unique styles, and four different perspectives, join together in a symphony to take viewers on a journey about the culture and the people of Vietnam.
The exhibition has been organised by Thang Long Art Gallery and takes place at Bonhams, one of the world's largest and most renowned auctioneers of fine arts and antiques.
The event will run until November 8./.
