The Kim Dong Publishing House held a ceremony in Hanoi on May 30 to announce the Kim Dong Literature Award and launch a writing contest to call for more literary works for children in the 2023-2025 period.

According to NDO, the award is open to amateur and professional Vietnamese writers and poets both at home and abroad, whose entries should focus on two targeted groups: children (6-10 years old), and adolescents (11-15 years old).
The award features three categories of short stories, long stories, and poetry.
The entries, which can be submitted from June 17, 2023, until March 3, 2025, via email at giaithuongkimdong@nxbkimdong.com.vn; or via post service to 55 Quang Trung Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
The submissions will be evaluated by a jury comprising well-known children’s authors, namely writers Tran Duc Tien, Nguyen Nhat Anh, and Ly Lan, poet Nguyen Thuy Anh, and Deputy Director of Kim Dong Publishing House Vu Thi Quynh Lien.
The winners will receive prizes worth up to 360 million VND in total at an award ceremony scheduled in June 2025.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Director of Kim Dong Publishing House Vu Thi Quynh Lien said that the award aims to discover new children’s authors and children’s literature books, which can also help to promote the image of the Vietnamese land and people./.
