Representatives from 15 Australian travel firms survey tourist attraction in Khanh Hoa

Representatives from 15 Australian travel firms are set to visit the southcentral city of Khanh Hoa from September 9 to September 12 in order to explore popular tourist sites and experience numerous tourism products and services that Nha Trang city has to offer, reported VOV.

The Australian famtrip delegation, including travel firms from Sydney and Melbourne, are expected to survey tourism services at resorts along the Bai Dai beach such as Alma, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, and adventure tours at Kong Forest which is considered to be the largest forest adventure tourist park in the country.

Most notably, Australian travel firms are due to meet with Vietnamese businesses to seek co-operation opportunities and attend a gala dinner on September 11 at the Sheraton Nha Trang hotel.

The function will see the province’s travel firms introduce tourism products and services to Australian businesses, while local authorities will also brief them on a number of stimulus tourism schemes being held in the locality.

Currently, Bamboo Airways is operating five round-trip flights each week in Australia on air routes such as Melbourne – Hanoi, Melbourne - Ho Chi Minh City, and Sydney - Ho Chi Minh City, making use of the modern wide-body aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

According to information provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Vietnam represented one of the 10 most favourite places among Australians.

Most notably, the total number of visitors coming from Australia to Ho Chi Minh City reached nearly 300,000 in 2019 and stood at 130,000 arrivals in 2022, thereby accounting for roughly 3.5% of the total number of international visitors to the southern city.

Earlier in May this year a famtrip delegation of Australian tour operators arrived in the coastal city of Nha Trang in the southcentral province of Khanh Hoa as part of efforts to survey a range of tourism products and services at a number of popular tourist attractions and accommodation facilities.

The Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has plans to send a delegation to Australia this October in order to explore the potential of the Australian market and seek further opportunities to strengthen connectivity with foreign travel firms.

Around 2.5 million tourists recorded during National Day holidays

Tourism destinations across the country served around 2.5 million tourists during the National Day holidays from September 1-4, VNA cited the report by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).

The average accommodation occupation rate reached 55%, even over 60% on September 1-2.

Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi led the localities nationwide in the number of holiday-makers during the period.  Other localities have reported a significant increase in the volume of tourists as well, including Khanh Hoa (up 141%), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (36.5%), Quang Ninh (150%), and Thanh Hoa (26.6%).

Notably, the increasing number of foreign tourists to key tourist destinations during the holidays shows a positive sign for Vietnam's upcoming peak in the international tourism season starting in October, the authority said.

The central coastal tourism city of Da Nang, Hanoi, HCM City, and Khanh Hoa are set to welcome 78,900, over 41,700, 37,600 and 23,450 international arrivals, respectively, in the season.

In response to the 17th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2023 (ITE HCMC 2023), which will take place from September 7-9, hundreds of travel businesses have been offering promotional programmes for visitors and consumers.

According to the Saigontourist Travel Service Company, to meet the demand of travelers who want to explore the most beautiful routes from the northeast to the northwest in this autumn, the firm is collaborating with the Vietnam Airlines to offer 5-6 day tours with prices from 9,479,000 VND (393.2 USD), which will be available for sale at ITE HCMC 2023.

The Vietnam Travel and Marketing Transports JSC (Vietravel) has also introduced a series of tours to explore northern destinations during the autumn with promotional discounts.

According to General Director of Vietravel Pham Phuong Anh, the business has recorded an increasing number of tourists interested in and registering for autumn tours, both for domestic and international routes.

Themed “Connectivity, Growth, Sustainability”, ITE HCMC 2023 is expected to draw over 400 exhibitors, over 30% of them foreign companies which will double from the figure recorded last year.

Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of HCM City Le Truong Hien Hoa said ITE HCMC 2023 aims to promote and facilitate commercial activities to connect key tourism markets, helping domestic travel firms expand new markets./.

Violinist Shlomo Mintz is scheduled to arrive in Vietnam for a concert at the National Music Academy on September 8, reported VOV.

The concert ‘Shlomo Mintz and friends’ will also be joined by guest artists Bui Cong Duy, Chuong Vu, and Olivier Orchanine, along with other artists from the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sun Symphony Orchestra.

The artists will perform masterpieces by two famous composers Ludwig Van Beethoven and Antonio Vivaldi.

Shlomo Mintz is an Israeli violin virtuoso, violinist and conductor. He regularly appears with orchestras and conductors on the international scene and is heard in recitals and chamber music concerts around the world.

Mintz had toured throughout Europe with famous conductors such as Carlo-Maria Giulini, Antal Dorati and Eugene Ormandy, before signing a major contract with Deutsche Grammophone. He has also won many major music awards since 1984.

Mintz has also opened a music school in Israel. He has judged many music awards and competitions in the world as well as in Israel.
